The 1/4'' rulers are the most commonly used rulers for paper piecing. Choose the 6'' ruler for smaller fabric sections and the 12'' for larger pieces. This ruler has a specially designed lip which allows you to trim your seam allowances perfectly with a rotary cutter to 1/4'', making positioning of your next fabric patch a snap.
